In 1980, Kevin began his decades as a wrangler at his home in Bryce Canyon national park in Utah. This led to other beautiful places such as Zion national Park and the Grand Canyon as a mule wrangler. While wrangler opportunities were seasonal Kevin would spend the winter months at thoroughbred race tracks such as turf paradise as an exercise rider and trainer. In 1995, Kevin began his career as a farrier, mastering the craftsmanship of trimming and balancing horses hooves then in 2011 returned to the Grand Canyon as a mule wrangler while maintaining his farrier clientele during the winter months.
In 2019, Kevin began managing the horse program at camp Geronimo which led to management and head wrangler at saguaro lake ranch stables. In 2022 Kevin took over management at Kohl’s ranch stables and now he is looking forward to owning and operating his own stables in Greer beginning in the summer of 2024. Other passions include team roping. While there’s excitement in entering and competition the real joy has been in the practice pen training rope and barrel horses. Over the decades Kevin has had the opportunity to be a teamster driving draft horses and mules for parades and special events and is planning to include this service in the future at his stable in Greer.
